Parenting Coordination is a child-focused alternative dispute resolution process designed for high-conflict situations where traditional mediation or litigation may not be sufficient. This is a court ordered process.
As a Parenting Coordinator, I work with parents to implement their existing parenting plans, resolve day-to-day disagreements, and minimize the impact of parental conflict on their children.
This role combines elements of assessment, education, and case management. The goal is to provide timely decisions on disputed issues—ranging from holiday scheduling to extracurricular activities—ensuring that children’s needs remain the primary focus while reducing the need for frequent court appearances.
